April 2003 Meeting Information

April 8, 2003
Technical Overview of Salmon LLC's SOFIA Framework

This month's meeting will be presented by Ken Hoffman, Vice President, Sales, and a lead architect from Salmon LLC to provide an overview and demonstration of SOFIA (Salmon Open Framework for Internet Applications). SOFIA was developed in-house, is conceptually similar to Jakarta Struts, and provides:
  • integration of tools such as IntelliJ Idea, Eclipse, and Dreamweaver.
  • simplifies code by providing over 200,000 lines of ready-to-go code based on the Model-View-Controller (MVC) design pattern as well as the separation of HTML and JSP.
  • productivity improvement.

More information about SOFIA and how to download the product is available at the Salmon LLC web site.

Meetings are held every second Tuesday of the month at the Scotch Plains Rescue Squad second floor meeting hall starting promptly at 7:30pm. Meetings are open to the public, and visitors are encouraged to join ACGNJ.
